The Media Exploring British Newspapers
There are many newspapers published in the UK, among the most well-know newspapers are The guardian, The national, The Independent and the Financial times. These newspapers have become people’s essential tools to know the world. I have chosen the Daily Telegraph on 10th of May in 2011. It reports on the findings of a think tank founded by lain Duncan Smith which claims that David Cameron’s coalition has failed to support marriage, unfairly penalized middle-class parents and done “almost nothing” to address the breakdown of families. In addition, the top story always takes the most obvious position on the first page and usually goes with a big picture and the biggest headline. On the other hand, newspapers report the same news, the top story of different newspapers may differ. Different newspapers may have different stories or cover the same story, however, sometimes from different angles, depending on what factor does the newspaper appreciate respectively. In our country, it also has many different types of newspaper, it was similar with UK.
In conclusion, newspaper is an ancient tool that people communicate, it keeps long period. Newspapers are also become one part of our life.
Sports
Sport is an activity which is one of the ways and which can the world becomes closer. In addition, sports also can help different people familiar with each other and process their relationship. However, one of the sport is the football and the first World Cup was held on 1936 in Uruguay, afterwards it usually be held every 4 years. The recently World Cup was held on 2010 in South Africa it was exciting. Conversely, in the UK, there are many popular sports such as football, rugby, cricket and tennis. There are many famous stars and venues around the UK, for example the most famous venues are in London, it is called Webley. However, the locations of the famous rugby venues are in London, Wales and Dublin.
In the UK, the most famous star is absolute David Beckham, he is a legend man who plays football. In addition, the famous player of rugby is George who lives in England. In the UK people like to watch the sport every day. However, in China, people also like to watch the sport, especially the World Cup. The interested things are people do not really like to play football in China. Because of Chinese are not good at football, include rugby and cricket.
In conclusion, the period of these sports were held in different times, such as cricket is held from April to August. Football is held on May.
Crime and punishment
A crime is any act or omission that violates a law which results in a punishment. In addition, crime has become serious issue in the world. The typical case of crime is murder. In China, murder is an important problem, it breaks the law. For example, people who murdered, the law will charge you the death penalty of people who murdered. Another example is parking, people who parking in a area and this area is not allow to parking is a crime. On the other hand, robbing someone is a much more severe crime that results in a lengthy prison sentence. Many family codes have general policy statements that encourage parents to resolve custody disputes in a friendly manner. If the custody battle turns ugly, a violation of the general policy rule, by itself, is not a crime because there is not a defined punishment.
In conclusion, the law can protect our personal safety, but sometime it protect virtual things instead of significant issues. The government should realize and help people who need help and decrease crime, In addition, good punishment can cut down crime effective.

compare and contrast the Welfare system in your country with the Welfare system in the UK.
In our country, our official retirement age is between 50 to 60 years old. Men's retirement is becially 60, women is 50. However, the retirement age of UK is 65 years old. Roy Gill said that 'Under the proposal, employers would not be allowed to dismiss staff because they had reached the age of 65'. In our country sometimes depends them selfs, they can also stay long time as they wish. There is also have an old age pension for people too old to work in our country, such as national insurance contributions, retirement funding for government and so on. It is similar with UK, it has national insurance contributions, the government pension. the pension is not very high in UK, it same as China. Some people can apply for income support who are not have a work for long time, they can receive it.
UK's welfare has 7 different types, there are Children and pregnant women welfare, disability or illness benefits, retirement benefits, widow welfare, unemployment benefits, low-income people welfare and social fund.reference:http://zhidao.baidu.com/question/26661788.html

St David's Day
Thousands of people celebrated St. David’s Day Cardiff on Tuesday, participating or cheering for the annual parade that passed through the city centre.
The parade began from outside the City Hall, through the city centre and ended at the Hayes, right outside the St. David’s Hall. The parade comprised not only people of Welsh heritage but also school children, bands, dancing troupes and even international participants like an group of Nepalis in Wales.
People wore costumes and carried either the Welsh flag or a flag bearing St. David’s cross. Mike Peterson, who led the parade as St. David explained the essence of the festival saying: “He was a man who realized how important it was to be in tune with nature and not to exploit the world. There’s plenty for everybody if we’re not greedy and then we’ll all be happy. Well, it s a joyous occasion isn’t it?”
“His dying words were be joyful, keep the faith; do the little things that you’ve heard and seen with me.”
Once the parade came to an end, a traditional Welsh song and dance show continued to entertain the crowd at the Hayes with performers from all over Wales. The city centre buzzed with the spirit of the festival as special stalls were set up for the day selling Welsh specialties and vendors walked around selling balloons and souvenirs, such as daffodil headdresses and brooches and flags.

UK Parliament
British Parliament is sometimes called 'parliamentary mother', because these countries once part of the British Empire, which was modeled on some of the political system.United Kingdom Parliament, which is the River Thames in Central London is perhaps the world's most famous. This is mainly because of its unique architecture, including the impressive clock tower commonly known as'Big Ben'.Most people do not know is that the name does not actually refer to the whole tower, inside the water, but only a huge bell.
There are two House of Parliament which is the House of Commons and the House of Lords. In addition the House of Commons has more power than the House of Lords. There are 659 constituencies in the United Kingdom.529 constituencies are there in England and 72 constituencies are there in Scotland. However there are not same geographical size because some cover a large area, in places where not many people live. Others cover a very small area if the population is dense. Therefore, there will be a lot of constituences in big city.In addition, the political party with most Member of Parliaments forms the goverment and the leader of that party becomes Prime Minister. However, the 'first past the post' system is the people who has the most votes wins, even if they have only one vote more than the next person. When all the Member of Parliaaments are elected, Ministry of Public Security to form a government with the majority of political parties and party leaders to become prime minister.(http://www.parliament.uk/)
A Member of Parliament is a representative of the voters to a parliament. In many countries the term applies specifically to members of the lower house, as upper houses often have a unique title, such as senate, and thus also have unique titles for its members, such as senators. Members of parliament tend to form parliamentary parties with members of the same political party. The term Member of Parliament is often shortened in the media and in every day use to the initialism "MP".
